A camera drone built for weather. Brand, product, launch and shop for a Copenhagen concept.

The brief
Launch a Danish drone company in thirty markets at once: a flagship that sells on one idea, and a brand that holds up from a phone screen to a shop window in Tokyo.
The approach
The Arctic tern crosses every kind of weather between the poles, so the drone is built for weather and built like the bird: a tern's flight muscles anchor on its keel and wishbone, and Terne X's arms anchor on a titanium keel and wishbones, in sight through its faceted aluminium body. Every part is modelled by script in Blender from one file of dimensions, and the same model runs live on this page. The launch follows the tern south in four waves; one shop serves all thirty markets.
[ 07 ]Identity
Named after the Arctic tern.
Terne is Danish for tern, the bird that flies from pole to pole every year. The mark is the tern seen from below: long wings, a forked tail, a red beak. Read quickly, it is an X, and the drone from above.

[ 08 ]Campaign
Eight markets, one ad budget.
A Meta plan for the June wave: a teaser that builds a list, an Advantage+ sales campaign and retargeting. Pick a market and the ads change language and price; each ad opens the shop below in that market.

Setup
- Meta Pixel and Conversions API, deduplicated and consent-based: product views, add to bag, sign-ups and purchases.
- Attribution: 7-day click, 1-day view. Targets are read on 7-day click only.
- One Advantage+ sales campaign across all eight markets, with the ads in each market's language. From week three, spend moves to the markets with the best return.
- Every phase runs across Feed, Stories and Reels; the phone shows its main format.
All figures are planning targets. Average order €1,300 ex VAT, assuming about one order in five includes the Fly More kit.
[ 09 ]Shop
One shop, thirty markets.
A working prototype. The market sets the language, currency, price, charger plug and drone rules; markets not yet launched show their month and take a notification instead of an order.

Outtakes
What I tried and dropped, and why.

v1 · 27 Sep
A rugged first draft
Drawn after a military drone. A Danish brand selling in thirty markets can't look like a weapon; that idea went to the Lab as Shrike.

v2 · 28 Sep
Matched to a DJI photo
Accurate down to the screws, and it could have been any drone. The open keel gave it an idea of its own.

v2 · 29 Sep
The box camera
Every drone carries one. It became a ceramic ball with a flat metalens.
